Tecumseh was famous for trying to united the Native Americans together because of the Greeneville Treaty. He thought

 if he could united them all, they would have a more powerful army. The more powerful the Native Americans army was the

 better chance they had of winning over the White people. 

He was also famous for his tomahawk, which is an axe. He brought it everywhere with him. That was his most treasured possession.
