Called “the little lady who started this big war” by President Lincoln, she wrote one of the world’s best selling books called “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”. She was praised by some people for bringing out the horrors of slavery, but hated by others saying she used false facts. Her book helped start the Civil War, yet it also helped end slavery. She was Harriet Beecher Stowe.
